Pinkney, Jerry. (2009). The Lion and the Mouse. This is a illustrated version of The Lion and the Mouse, an Aesop's fable. This book is about a mouse who repays a lion for showing him mercy by chewing through a snare that traps the lion. Pinkney does a great job of illustrating this story using watercolor pictures.
